The Social Institute-Family Social Standards Agreement

The Social Institute (TSI), founded by social media expert and former Duke All-American athlete Laura Tierney, empowers students through #WinAtSocial, a gamified peer-to-peer learning platform that equips students, educators, and families with skills to navigate their social world both online and offline in healthy, high-character ways. Drawing from her experience working with K-12 students and managing social media for major brands like Nike, Disney, and Duke Men's Basketball, Tierney created TSI based on the belief that empowering people to make high-character choices leads to positive, life-changing experiences.

TSI encourages families to work together as a "team" to discuss and establish screen time and technology guidelines that align with their unique values and standards. Resources are provided on the website, including this Family Agreement.
